Neighbors Insurance Agency in Florida knows that RV insurance in Florida is not just required, but crucial towards insuring your investment. Do not leave your property and your family unprotected and contact us at Neighbors Insurance Agency to get your RV insured today. We offer a variety of different policy options for any type of RV user, whether you be full time or part-time.

What are the Requirements?

As a minimum, you are typically required to have the same amount of coverage for an RV as you would have for a car. There are special cases but for the most part, you will need an RV insurance policy if your RV is a motorhome, if you do not own your outright, or if your RV is a rental vehicle. Motorhomes are required by law to have liability insurance while being driven in the majority of states but full coverage may be optional depending on whether or not you have had the vehicle financed. If your RV is not drivable and is only towable or you own your RV outright in a state where RV insurance is not required, you do not need to have RV insurance.

In Florida, all those who drive their RVs instead of towing it are required to have insurance on it regardless of whether or not it is owned outright. The minimum requirements in Florida are as follows:

You must have $10,000 in bodily injury liability per accident for one person      You must have $20,000 in bodily injury liability per accident for all persons      You must have $10,000 in property damage liability per accident

These are some of the lowest minimum liability standards in the United States so you may want to carry more than is required in order to cover everything in your RV as well as the RV itself. This is especially the case when you consider how expensive it can be when you get into an accident.
